More than 2/3 of the excreted mercury in humans is derived from amalgams; mercury crosses the maternal placenta into the developing fetus; it is capable of inducing auto immunity diseases; mercury immediately and continually challenges the kidneys, it can enhance the prevalence of antibiotic resistant intestinal bacteria, and people exposed to mercury are at risk to lowered fertility.
